Lourde Childs
Lourde Childs is a multifaceted, contemporary recording artist, producer, violinist, performer, and creative director hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Lourde knew that entertaining was his purpose from the age of 3 when he would perform for his family at home singing gospel songs at the top of his lungs. Fueled by the vivacity of the pop anthems of the 2010’s and the rhythmic grooves of 2000’s R&B, he has written and produced a catalog of records spanning his decades of influence ever since his freshman year of high school. With sounds and styles inspired by Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Max Martin, Bruno Mars and Victoria Monet, he is a versatile and dynamic entertainer that strives to uplift every audience and inspire the next generations of creatives at every opportunity.
Lourde began playing the violin under the instruction of his uncle, Jonathan Levingston,
at the age of 5. Through early classical training, he became proficient in reading music and went on to learn guitar and piano. He enrolled in the Phoenix Conservatory of Music at the age of 9 and began performing with various bands across a plethora of genres through his teen years, earning the conservatory an award in 2017 at the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards. Lourde continued to grow musically and began writing and producing his own music at the age of 13. He released his first single “Call My Bluff” at the beginning of 2020 and then released 3 more singles including his song “Left On Read” of which saw success and virality on the social media app TikTok. He then released a declarative, party anthem called “2AM” in collaboration with Christian Inman during the time of his studies at Berklee College of Music. The following spring, Lourde released his single “MIDNIGHTS” of which served as the lead single for his debut Pop R&B EP “I HAVEN’T SEEN THE STARS IN A WHILE”.
